Trussed frame rafters

I've seen discussion before about the use of trussed frame rafters being specified for a project. Does this design have a clear advantage? I'd like to know about anyone who has worked with this.

Trussframe?. It's like a tapered beam except for the webwhich uses "truss type" components instead of being solid. It's a good system.
