Where does a person go for building codes state to state? Call the capital of each state's Labor Dept.????? I need the NE for now.

I think it is more local than state. Cities and counties have their own building codes and depending on the area, neighborhood covenants may have their own guidlines and restrictions.

Why Steeling are you going into business in the Northeast. Most coding issues are handled locally-project to project or bulding to building. If you have numerous projects over a variety of states snow and wind but especially snow loads will fluctuate from area to area. Lake effect snow don'tcha know?
