Is there a difference between metal and steel? I mean isn't metal=steel and steel=metal? Confusing............hmmmm.

From what I know those terms are used interchangeably now. Metal sometimes denoted lesser quality years ago because the technology wasn't what it is today. The difference is in the configuration of the building today. Arch style, rigid frame. I hear from a lot of people to make sure it's 26 gauge steel. Hope this helps.

Yeah, okay, thanks. I'm not buying one right now but that clears it up.
In my experience metal generally is used to describe lighter gauged structures that are more in the vicinity of 29 gauge. Although steel can be 29 gauge the use of the term "steel building" generally denotes 26 gauge commercial-grade steel. Hope this isn't confusing.

So does that mean metal buildings are cheaper than steel buildings?

At the end of the day I think it's the same thing.
