Can't remember the article if online or in a magazine but a lot of auto parts stores and dealerships are using new metal buildings and set up their mezzanines for storage vertically not horizontally. Makes sense to "use the air" that has no square footage charges added to it. Just got to make sure the loads are right to support the extra weighjt I guess. Anybody know any more on this?

Don't know much about it but it makes sense...go vertical to save space but my question would be access. Do they use stairs or elevators? Seems like a center-cut access by stairs to a mezz is best but if it's up and down all day 8 hrs. that's a lot of physical exertion plus maybe safety issues. Or do they station people on different levels and fill orders through a POS system and just "dumb waiter" or send the items down by conveyor belt or elevator? All for now.

I have never seen what you are talking about but it does make sense.
