Hey...is it true only certain building companies abide by and can get approval I think it is Dade County in Fla. in order to meet wind loads. I mean the new ones the hiher wind loads because of hurrianes. Everyone says (steel building companies) that they can but confused: I heard only a few get approval. Anybody know the secret?

I think most companies that build in Florida can build to the necessary wind loads. I don't think there is a secret but why would anyone tell you they could when they couldn't. It's going to be a contract after all with the wind load on there. Just make sure it's right. Not to be funny but you know the Florida codes aren't all one number. I think in-land is 90 and some 130 on the coast. Hope this helps.

Keep your fingers crossed but it looks like Florida dodged a bullet with Tropical Storm Noel...never got full strength and is going to the Northeast.
