Maraging Steel

Is there anyone on this forum that knows about maraging steel. From thhe liitle I know about this steel it has a h*** of a strength characteristic but seems like it would be too expensive for use in a metal building. Also, it is highly polished so you don't want to be blinded by looking at a building. Still. maybe a process that combines some of this with other alloys. I'd like to explore the subject with someone who knows.:)

I think that's a specialized steel that is used for sabers and fencing equipment. And you are right it is expensive so I don't think too practical for steel buildings.

My point is just a little in the finishing...it may add lustre AND strength.
