Roof pitch

I'm weighing the roof pitch for ordering a steel building for a number of reasons. One of them is that at what point does the pitch become enough pronounced that I really need to look at the extra expense of colored roof panels?

Here's kind of a guide from my own experience:


1:12 No need for colored panels. (you don't get credit for them anyway cause you can't see em at street level).

2:12 Borderline - find a 2:12 pitch in your hood and see what you think.

3:12 and above - definitely.
