This other guy was talking about foundations for steel buildings in the other forum but what kind? I hear pier and beam can be used but concrete is less expensive. What is recommended?

I don't know where you are in the country but check with a local contractor or erector experienced with steel buildings - they would know.

I agree with Chip in instances where concrete is more expensive...in the South cobcrete probably is still cheaper.

I mean concrete..don't want people lokking for "cobcrete"
Hey, NASCAR, maybe "cobrete" is some new type of mortor .. sort of like a "bio-feul" made out of corn, this one is a corn-concrete hybrid.
But seriously, how do you think Jeff Gordon will do this weekend in Atlanta? Do you think Johnson has a chance of catching him?

Isn't pier and beam mainly used for residential now?
