Settling of a building

Does settling of a building cause water to pond. I have a 1:12 metal roof and after a significant rain some areas on the roof "pool" water. About an 1/8 of an inch won't drain and I have to wait for it to evaporate. Any suggestions?

You didn't mention a drainage system. I assume you have one. Make sure it is working properly. But yes, settling can be a problem when it comes to lower profile roofs...also the problem may migrate and change locations over the years.. According to most manufacturers anything that evaporates in 48 hours is not standing water. Contact the builder if still a problem
